The story begins with Mary receiving a visit from the Archangel Gabriel, telling her she will bear a child who will save humanity. The young couple Joseph and Mary soon encounter many difficulties as they travel to Bethlehem for the birth of baby Jesus.
The film follows Jesus’ ministry as he teaches his disciples, performs miracles, and heals the sick. However, his message of love and tolerance doesn’t sit well with everyone, leading him to be betrayed by one of his own. As a result, he is sentenced to death by crucifixion.
