The story centers around Lauren and Ned, an adorable couple who are madly in love. But when their wedding day arrives, Lauren’s mother goes missing, leaving her daughter to search for her in the far-flung reaches of the Northern Territory.
With the clock ticking down to their Big Day, Lauren and Ned embark on a journey into the heart of Australia’s Top End filled with breathtaking landscapes, sacred Aboriginal sites, and unforgettable characters. As they travel further north into the outback wilderness, they encounter a range of remarkable people who help them piece together clues to find Lauren’s absent mother.
One such character is Maeve played by award-winning actress Kerry Fox. Maeve is an eccentric motel owner who becomes instrumental in helping Lauren and Ned find Lauren’s lost mother. With her over-the-top pink wig and quirky personality, Maeve provides much-needed comic relief during some pretty tense moments.
