It’s always a pleasure to find a movie that’s not just another Hollywood blockbuster – one that’s all about CGI and top-billed actors earning millions of dollars for essentially playing themselves. That’s what makes We Die Young such a refreshing watch. From start to finish, this movie is an emotional rollercoaster that will have you tearing up, crossing your fingers, and rooting for the characters in ways you never thought possible.
Set against the backdrop of gang warfare in Washington DC, We Die Young tells the story of a traumatized boy named Lucas (Elijah Rodriguez) and his unlikely friendship with Daniel (Jean-Claude Van Damme), an ex-soldier who struggles with PTSD.
